In addition to general job reporting and lighthearted features, the federal courts and education frequently played an important part in state and local politics. He couldn’t predict the weather would be his big-time ticket. After two weeks of stinting, he was the key weatherman for the station; and by the mid-1970s, he was on his way to WABC-TV in New York after a shortstop from the NBC station in Baltimore.
He was at WABC for nine years. He worked first as a weatherman, then as a host for the morning show, and then as a principal sportscaster. During all these years, he attended ABC’s Good Morning America regularly, filled out the weather, and did feature reports and interviews. In 1986, as a weathercaster, reporter, and guest host, he joined GMA full-time. He has spoken in the ABC literate.
Christian will also not swap jobs with anyone in the world after more than 48 years in TV news. He was a news editor, a sportscaster, a lecturer, and a forecasting expert.
