Farmer is a native of South Carolina and she joined 7NEWS in January 2023 following her tenure as a Weekend Anchor/Reporter with WTOV 9 in the Northern Panhandle. Taylor’s journey into journalism began after her collegiate athletic career playing Division I Volleyball at Presbyterian College. She later transferred to Clemson University, where she earned her degree in Communication in December 2021, with minors in Media Studies and Writing.

Her passion for sports led her to immerse herself in covering Clemson Football, Basketball, and Baseball during her time at Clemson. Taylor contributed to The Clemson Insider and was also involved in the Football pregame show on the flagship radio station of the Tigers, 105.5 The Roar. Additionally, she gained experience in color commentary for Div. I College Basketball & Volleyball on ESPN+.

In the summer of 2021, Taylor joined Massachusetts as the sideline reporter for the Hyannis Harbor Hawks of the Cape Cod League, known as the premier Summer Baseball league for the nation’s top college players.
