Florendo serves as the chief meteorologist and reporter at KLAS-TV. He went to Washington State University where he attained his degree in broadcast journalism in 1998. He started his journalism career at a small station in Yakima, Washington where he served as a reporter and later on started serving as a morning weather anchor. During his tenure in Yakima, Washington, he managed to enclose several extreme weather events including the major storms in the Pacific Northwest.
Florendo, later on, left the station and started working at WFRV in Green Bay, Wisconsin where he served as a weather anchor and chased EF-2 Tornadoes. In June 2004, he left WFRV and started working for 8 News Now CBS where he served as a News Anchor/Reporter from June 2004 to July 2013. During his tenure at 8 News Now CBS, he enclosed several extreme weather events including dangerous summer monsoons, severe storms, and flash floods.
Florendo left 8 News Now CBS and started working at WCAU in Philadelphia in 2013 where he served as the weekend meteorologist. He also publicized that Philadelphia was one of the most difficult places in America to forecast. Whenever he is not working, he enjoys spending his free time with his family and friends.
