Tim spent his first internship with Cap in 1991 wandering the halls of NEWS10 while simultaneously filling in at WNCE-TV (Channel 8) in Glens Falls. He is a graduate of Lyndon State College in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont, where he grew up on Long Island’s East End.

Tim has held the TV Seal of Approval of the American Meteorological Society since August 1998. He was also named “Best TV Weather Anchor” by Metroland Newsweekly in their annual, staff-compiled “Best of the Capital Region” in 2004, 2007, and 2011. Late in 1993, he began his career at WVNY in Burlington, Vermont. Tim moved to Central Kentucky and WLEX a year later.

He spent three years forecasting the weather and coping with the Bluegrass State’s severe weather difficulties. A former member of the National Weather Service’s Lexington office nominated and commissioned him as a Kentucky Colonel in recognition of his severe weather coverage

In addition, he had the chance to co-host the Miss Kentucky Gala, as well as get a taste of Kentucky basketball, the Kentucky Horse Park, Keeneland, and the Kentucky Derby. Furthermore, he took on the task of creating a weather department from the ground up in 1997. He was heading to WSYM in Lansing, Michigan, where he first met Coach Tom Izzo at first base during a charity softball game.

Also, he’s known for having a good time in the kitchen on-air. Moreover, he had a great time competing in the annual Snowflake Chili Cook-off, placing fourth one year. While embracing the experience of “Go Green, Go White” with MSU football and basketball, he also learned some of the ins and outs of hot air ballooning.

Further, he moved to WZVN in Fort Myers, Florida, in early 2002 to enjoy the sunlight while dealing with the complex issues of sea wind fronts and tropical meteorology. Prior to joining NEWS10, he was known as the “weekend warrior” at WNYT, where he worked double shifts on weekends for numerous years. Tim had the opportunity to “call” a lot of high school football games with Rick Harrington on FOX Sports 1230 because of his relationship with the Adirondack Broadcasting Company and his knowledge of the game.

During the 2013 and 2014 seasons, Tim and Rick accompanied the Queensbury Spartans to The Dome in pursuit of their State Championships. He’s been a Mets and Jets fan since Craig Swan was pitching to John Stearns and Richard Todd was tossing long fly patterns to Wesley Walker and Kurt Sohn.
