Tucker Carlson (born Tucker Swanson McNear Carlson) is an American conservative television presenter and political commentator working for FOX News. He hosts Tucker Carlson Tonight on Fox News. He joined the network in 2016.

When he was six, Carlson’s mother left the family, preferring to follow a ‘bohemian lifestyle. Carlson’s father married divorcee Patricia Caroline Swanson, a Swanson Enterprises heiress, in 1979. Swanson is Gilbert Carl Swanson’s daughter and Senator J. William Fulbright’s niece. His father moved Tucker and his brother to La Jolla, California, when Carlson was in first grade and raised them there.
