Prior to working at KMOV-TV, He worked at Sinclair Broadcast Group where he served as a general assignment reporter for about three years and one month.
Blandin previously worked at WHNT-TV where he served as a news reporter for about 5 years and 7 months. From January 2007 to December 2007, he worked at WCIV where he served as a general assignment reporter. Previously, he worked at Gray TV(WCAV-TV Charlottesville) where he served as a news reporter for about 2 years and 4 months. From February 1998 to October 2006, he worked at the United States Marine Corps where he served as a corporal.

In addition to that, he also enclosed Hurricane Matthew in 2016, the Branson Duck Boat Tragedy in 2018, and St. Louis protests in 2017.
Blandin was awarded two Regional Edward R. Murrow Awards and some awards from the Associated Press. He was also nominated four times for Emmy Award. Furthermore, he also serves at the National Association of Black Journalists as the Arts & Entertainment Committee Co-chair.
