Wendy Osefo (born Wendy Onyinye Osefo) is a Nigerian-American TV Personality, Public Affairs Academic, Political Commentator, and Author, well-known for starring in several shows such as “The Real Housewives of Potomac”. She is also famous for appearing in “Sky World News”, “America Reports”, and “Symone”. She serves at Johns Hopkins School of Education as an assistant professor, specializing in politics and urban education.

She’s on the board for The Education Foundation of Baltimore County Schools, Children’s Scholarship Fund Baltimore, and Congressman Elijah Cummings’ Youth to Israel Program. Osefo is also actively involved in the Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority.
Osefo is also passionate about helping people (a dedicated philanthropist). She started the 1954 Equity Project to support young leaders. In this project, she gives resources, mentorship, and tools to underrepresented minorities so they can do well in higher education. Before working at Johns Hopkins University, Osefo was in charge of Family and Community Engagement for a program by Pres. Obama called DC Promise Neighborhood, which aimed to reduce poverty.
