During his time at Southeastern, he was given the opportunity to cover all of the school’s major sports. He was voted Collegiate Louisiana Broadcaster of the Year by the Louisiana Association of Broadcasters in 2018, making him the first winner in exclusively sports programming.

At the Collegiate Associated Press Awards, he also earned Second Place in Sports Feature Story, First Place in Feature Story, First Place in Videography, and a Best in Show Award. KALB, his native station, hired him as a weekend sports anchor in 2018. Before accepting a position as an MMJ with the 49ers, he covered all of Cenla’s sports for about a year. Cal-Hi Sports Report is the number one high school sports show in the country. When he is not at work, Wesley enjoys going to the movies, watching sports, and spending time with his family.
