Furthermore, while she was still at Michigan State University she interned at HOMTV a public access channel in Meridian Township, WLNS in Lansing, and WXYZ in Detroit.  She served as the anchor of the Thursday morning news on HOMTV. In addition, she did report and anchored for Michigan State’s student-run newscast, “Focal Point News.”

For her outstanding work as a student in the field of journalism, she was nominated for a number of Emmy awards in addition to, earning an award from the Society of Professional Journalists. She relocated to Lynchburg, Virginia where she worked at ABC 13 News serving as a reporter.

While she was in the station, some of the stories she covered include; the Unite The Right Rally in Charlottesville, an investigation into local school spending, and a tornado that devastated several families and businesses. Furthermore, she assisted in earning ABC 13 and Edward Murrow’s award for best newscast while working during the rally. She is also a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. During her leisure time, she enjoys trying new restaurants and traveling.
