Clair started her Broadcast Meteorology career in Rhinelander, Wisconsin, where she served as a weekend morning meteorologist on “America’s Dairyland”. After that, she went to Boston, Massachusetts where she worked for WHDH-TV as a midday and morning meteorologist. There she reported on multiple Nor’easters. Some of the major stories she covered there were the historic January 4, 2018 flooding and the Blizzard of February 2017 in Boston.

In college, Wren had engaged in the role of a Chemist, dedicating both full-time and part-time efforts over a span of half a decade. During this period, she contributed to numerous publications, with a main focus on topics surrounding organic synthesis. Additionally, she was actively involved in the American Meteorological Society.

During her spare time, Wren likes going to various schools and having conversations about science and weather. Wren has been a tutor for science and math on and off since high school. She has also taught students who are preparing for their GED exams through Neighborhood House at the Wellstone Center. Wren has volunteered at the dental clinic of Union Gospel Mission and used to manage a program that helped children with dental care.

Wren has a variety of outdoor interests. She enjoys activities like jogging, kayaking, downhill skiing, biking, swimming, and cross-country skiing during the winter. She also finds pleasure in watching hockey, baseball, and other winter sports. Wren is eager to explore the art scene in the Twin Cities once more. On April 11, 2019, she posted her photo on her Facebook Page laying with an injured leg. She revealed in the caption of the post that she had an athletic injury.
