Andrews started playing softball when she was in school. She was part of the softball team at Countryside High School in Clearwater, Florida. Also, in high school, Andrews was so good that she got named the Pinellas County player of the year. In her senior year, she led the whole state in stolen bases and batting average. Then, she played softball for the LSU Lady Tigers in college. She did so well that she got to the Women’s College World Series twice.
While in college, Andrews served at UNINTERRUPTED in Los Angeles, California as an Athlete Relations Intern for 2 months (April 2019 – May 2019). Also, she served at ESPN as a host for 2 months (January 2019 – February 2019).
The Chicago Bandits of National Pro Fastpitch (NPF) chose Andrews in the 2nd round of the 2015 NPF Draft. After the 2015 season, she got traded to the Akron Racers. Then, in the year 2016, Andrews made history by becoming the first woman to win a Rawlings Gold Glove Award. She also shared the Rally Spike Award, which is given to the league’s top stolen base leader. In the year 2017, she was even featured in ESPN The Magazine’s Body Issue.
