After graduating from Ole Miss in Journalism, Allison’s first full-time news job was in Joplin, Missouri, where she spoke about the aftermath of one of America’s most deadly tornadoes. Once Allison came to Utah, she began working for the full-time Fox 13 News meteorology degree.
Her Broadcast Meteorology Certificate was awarded to her by the Distance Program of Mississippi state in 2015. Although Allison certainly loves the weather, she also loves sports. At college, ESPN in Connecticut was one of her favorite internships. Fun fact: during the Ole Miss Basketball game on ESPNU, her first reporting was on Live TV.
No two days are identical and she loves the adrenaline rush to work at Salt Lake City No. 1 station—especially in bad weather or news. She really loves to participate in the community in addition to her work at Fox 13. Utah has been great for Allison – and her adorable dog Archie – to call home whether hosting charitable events or exploring slot canyoning with locals.
