Amy Lange Surgery
She went up the stairs and got stuck in her heel with her trial gown and she fell to the bottom of the stairs, her head smashing into the wall. For several days, the broken neck that she sustained in the fall was not diagnosed or treated. On July 28, 2009, she turned her experience, which included excruciating traction and spinal surgery, into a cautionary story.
Although Amy used her personal experience to raise awareness of the risk of falling, her real interest lies in sharing the stories of those without a voice in our homeless neighborhoods, foster care youth, foster care teens, and a host of other community issues.
