Amy Nay is an American journalist who serves FOX13 as a co-anchor of Good Day Utah Weekend on Saturday and Sunday mornings on FOX 13 News from 6:30 to 9 a.m. Further, she serves as an anchor for the evening shows during the weekend. Additionally, she serves as a substitute on both the desk and out in the field for FOX 13 News. She joined the station in September 2018.

Amy has 25 years of experience in the television news industry. She began her career while still a student at Southern Utah University, working for SUUTV and CTV-12. Later, she relocated to New York City to chase her aspirations the day after she graduated. Amy worked as a writer and producer behind the scenes at CNN, NBC, and Fox News Channel.

She met her husband while playing softball on the company’s coed team in Central Park. However, she began her career in radio news as a service aide and worked her way up to anchor and field reporter. Further, her broadcasts aired on thousands of stations across the country and around the world on a regular basis, particularly during the events of 9/11.

Amy jumped at the chance to work in a big city. She worked at WPIX-11 as a writer and then a reporter before spending eight years as a morning news anchor at News 12. She and her husband had two sons in New York before relocating to Utah and having two more. You may recognize her from her six years as a weekend anchor on Channel 2.

Also, she reported from across the state, meeting individuals in their communities and assisting them in telling their essential tales. Amy is a native of Gunnison, Utah, where she grew up in a tiny, close-knit community. Additionally, she is thrilled to be back in Utah after so many years away, allowing her to raise her children surrounded by the people and places that are so important to her.

Furthermore, she has won an Emmy for her work as an anchor/reporter in Salt Lake City, a Gracie award for Best Host in a Top 25 Market when she presented a daytime show in New York, as well as numerous Telly and UBEE honors. She enjoys being able to give back and assist with a variety of charitable events across the state.

On a side note, she loves being invited to host and MC numerous fundraisers and other special events which are always a great pleasure. Also, she enjoys speaking to a variety of audiences, typically addressing the work-life balance that so many of us struggle with.
