In her tenure at ABC 11, she has broadcasted several breaking news stories counting the Charlottesville protests, the Charleston church shooting, and the 2016 presidential campaigns. Further, Hurricanes Arthur and Maria affected the Carolina coast and the after-effects of the unforgettable downtown Raleigh fire.
Prior to ABC 11, she served in Greenville at WNCT-TV as a news anchor for 2 years since 2012. Although, when she joined the station in May 2010 she initially served as a general assignment reporter for 2 years and 2 months.
Also, she served as the station’s morning anchor and noon anchor, producer. While in school, she served on the university’s cheerleading team all four of her years at Carolina. However, her most unforgettable moment was cheering on Roy’s Boys at the 2009 National Championship in Detroit. While she was still an undergraduate at the university, she served ABC 11 as an intern. When she is not working, she loves painting.

Blanford shared on her Instagram page that she’ll be leaving the station in order to spend more time with her family. “..This evening, I will anchor my final Sunday evening newscast and begin my last week working for ABC11, a news station I have been a fan of since my days here as a college intern. I will soon begin my maternity leave and once that comes to an end, I will be staying home with my family, full-time…” She posted on her Instagram account.
