He walked into his first television job as a morning production assistant, wide-eyed and loaded with enthusiasm. A fellow, “Skook” (Schuylkill County, a native of Pennsylvania), was the sports director at the Newsplex and placed Andrew to work in the sports section, shooting highlights, and some writing.

Andrew made his way to State College, PA, and WHVL-TV after 10 months. Andrew made some firsts in Happy Valley over the course of five years, some nice, some not so good (cough, names on the uniforms). Andrew’s work at WHVL includes calling play-by-play, sideline analysis, color analyst, hosting his own political talk show, and introducing and co-hosting the first Penn State hockey television show, along with Jeff Byers on ESPN radio’s Penn State Football post-game show. When coming to his education, Andrew attended the University of Syracuse and graduated from Newhouse College.
