Barna serves at FOX43 as a sports anchor at FOX43. Before joining the station she was a student. An All-PSAC jumper and a hurdler, she played on the SHIP Track and Field team, #PrideTeamTradition while in college. She was a Sports Anchor and Sideline Reporter for the university television channel, SUTV, when she wasn’t playing or studying. She also worked in the sports information center, covering all of SHIP’s 20 sports teams, not as if she were not busy enough.
Barna was a sports intern at WNEP-TV in Scranton, Pennsylvania, prior to graduating from SHIP. She had the privilege of interviewing several famous professional athletes, including Mark Martin of NASCAR Chase Utley and Ryan Howard of Major League Baseball.
When coming to her education, she graduated as a student-athlete from Western Wayne High School and discovered her love for sports journalism. She’s an avid fan of sports and she’s proud to cover all of Central Pennsylvania. From local dirt track racing coverage, sports from high school, and football from Penn State. She was a student-athlete at Shippensburg University before starting with FOX43.
