Baylor serves at WTNH Storm Team 8 as a meteorologist. Since she is a Massachusetts native, she is no stranger to the different types of weather experienced in New England. Before rejoining WTNH, she worked for News 8’s sister stations, WWLP in Springfield, Massachusetts, and WAVY in Hampton Roads, Virginia. Some of her most memorable storms include Hurricane Sandy, the Halloween Nor’easter in 2011, and Hurricane Matthew. In addition to joining WWLP, she spent several months in New York City as a weather producer and three years at WEAU in Eau Claire, WI.
The Valley Advocate voted her as the “Best Meteorologist” in the year 2014 and 2013. The Republican/Masslive.com also voted her as the “Favorite Meteorologist” in the Reader Raves poll in 2013 and 2014. She won an honorable mention for her photo of lenticular clouds in 2008, which was published in the September issue of Weather Wise Magazine.
Her interest in weather began at the age of 9 years. She moved to Charleston, South Carolina the year after Hurricane Hugo made landfall there. Hurricane Andrew slammed into southern Florida in 1992 while she still lived in Charleston, she was so interested that she watched the entire event on the tv, and ever since she loved matters concerning the weather.
When coming to her education, she attained a degree in Broadcast Meteorology from the University of New York at Albany. Additionally, she is a member of the National Weather Association. She is a HUGE Patriots fan, during her leisure time she can be found on the beach or checking out a local zoo.
