Born and raised in south Minneapolis, Bisi is thrilled to be back home. She was a correspondent for a national news network of the Michigan office in Detroit before she joined FOX 9 in December 2017. Bisi also reported and anchored at Detroit, WJRT-TV, and the CBS affiliate in Flint, Michigan, and Duluth, Minnesota, where she initiated her online news career.
Bisi also reported on and anchored at WDIV-TV. She covered several national news stories, including the murder of ex-Minneapolis policeman Mohammad Noor, the Flint Water Crisis, the historic bankruptcy of Detroit, and General Motors’s ignition switch. She won two Michigan Emmy Awards and a Michigan Associated Press Award throughout her career.
Bisi graduated from Minneapolis South High School and graduated from the Minnesota Faculty of Journalism (University of Minnesota). She is a member of the Black Journalists Association. Onile enjoys traveling and spending time with her family when she’s not working.
