Chelsea grew up just outside of the Washington, D.C., Metro Area as a proud native of the D[M]V. She is also a proud graduate of the Philip Merrill College of Journalism at the University of Maryland. Chelsea interned at WTTG Fox 5 D.C. and the ABC affiliate WJLA throughout her collegiate career.
Chelsea enjoys finding hidden gems in towns and can’t wait to see all of Rhode Island. She can be found obsessing about her dog Sir Fitzgerald, binge-watching a TV show, or spending time with family and friends when she isn’t reporting. Jones is a member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and the National Association of Black Journalists.
