Also, he holds an NWA Seal from the National Weather Association and many certificates for mesoscale circulation forecasting. Moreover, he loves running, weightlifting, and spending time with his family and friends.
Additionally, he loves the thrill of competition. Additionally, he competes in various charity races annually that includes stair climbs and kayak marathons, to aid in amassing money for local charities. On a side note, while Sowers was growing up he wrestled and played baseball for 15 years.

Sowers was diagnosed with Hernia which occurs when an internal organ pushes through a weak spot in a muscle or tissue. This is caused by a combination of pressure and an opening or weakness of muscle or fascia. Further, he underwent surgery on June 6th, 2018 to treat the disease.
