Williams serves at 13ABC as a weekend evening anchor and partly a reporter, airing at 6:00 PM and 11:00 PM. Before this role, she served as a Weekend Morning News Anchor for over a decade. Her journey began straight from college. She was fortunate to start as the editor of the weekend assignment, went on to reporting, and joined the 13ABC weekend morning anchor team in December 2007.
From college television to time with PBS, she has taken several places with her passion for storytelling. She is a journalist nominated for the Emmy for the best weekend newscast. In 2013, she spent three weeks in Germany and Belgium undertaking a full scholarship journalism exchange program. She was named one of Toledo’s 20 under 40 in 2014 and also won an award for excellence in education reporting from the Ohio State Board of Education.
When coming to her education, she is a proud graduate of TPS Bowsher. She has a Bachelor of Science degree from Bowling Green State University in Journalism and will be a Falcon forever. She pursuing her career at a station that she has been watching as a child, surrounded by so many talented individuals. Since 2009, she has served as a member of the Northwest Ohio Advisory Board for the Salvation Army. She enjoys playing outdoors in the park in her spare time, spending time with her family, and traveling whenever possible.
