Ferreira serves at WGAL-TV as a Weekday Morning Meteorologist. This is Ferreira’s return to WGAL. She had a 3-semester internship at WGAL-TV, where she studied under News 8’s Joe Calhoun, back during her collegiate years. Before returning to WGAL to work as a Morning Meteorologist, she recently worked in Cleveland, Ohio, where she served at an ABC-affiliated television station, WEWS. Her position there was Weekday Morning Meteorologist. 

A proud alumnus of Millersville University, earning a Bachelor of Science in Meteorology, Ferreira got her start at KAVU-TV(an ABC-affiliated) in Victoria, Texas. There she experienced the 2005 hurricane season, where she covered Hurricane Rita. From there, she moved to Portland, Oregon, to work for KOIN-TV(a CBS-affiliated) for 3 years. There she covered everything from mudslides to flooding. 

Ferreira was designated the CBM Seal of Approval by the American Meteorological Society (AMS). She is a National Weather Association member. During her leisure, she likes speaking to students, as well as other groups about storm preparedness, the weather, and weather safety.
