Before that, she served at News 6’s sister station, WJXT-TV in Jacksonville, Florida for 6 years and 8 months. Most recently, she served as a Traffic Anchor/Reporter, and before that she served as an Assignment Editor, Reporter, and Backup Traffic Reporter. She started as a Multi-Platform Producer at WJXT.
While at WJXT, she covered Football Friday, where she highlighted a high school football matchup weekly. Moyer chose to pursue TV journalism because she is passionate about talking to people and sharing stories that positively impact their lives.
She has been actively involved in TV production since she was in elementary school. Growing up, she used to admire Oprah Winfrey, an American talk show host, philanthropist, actress, TV producer, and author.
Moyer was honored with the Associated Press (AP) Broadcasters award in the year 2018 for her report on Hurricane Irma. During the overage, she and her photographer heard a yell from a man who sounded like needed help and ran to rescue him.
The man was with his girlfriend and their car was submerged in water as a result of flooding. Moyer takes pride in helping them because the situation could have been much worse. She says that it was a day that she will never forget.
During her leisure, she likes going to her favorite restaurant “Chipotle” and having her favorite food “Crab Legs.” She also likes listening to User song tracks, cheering on Jacksonville Jaguars, watching her fav TV show “Married at First Sight,” and traveling – looking forward to visiting London.
