She started her TV career after being told that she had a unique presence that captured other students’ attention in the classroom, by her college theater professor.
While in college, she interned at WIS-TV (NBC) in Columbia, South Carolina. She was assisted to secure the internship by the professor. She was intrigued by the energy of live, local news when she walked into the newsroom for the very first time. From there, she went to work for FOX 59 in Indianapolis, Indiana as an entertainment reporter and weekend weather anchor, before making her way up to the news co-anchor of the 10 PM newscast.
Gadsden has also worked at a TV station in Washington and Dallas, Florida. She has reported on various significant stories such as Florida sports. Gadsden traveled to Arizona in the year 2007 to report on the Florida Gators in their BCS Championship win. For each home game, she covered the Tampa Bay Rays live from Tropicana Field when they were in the World Series. She also provided a live report on Super Bowl XLIII at Raymond James Stadium.
When it comes to her education, Gadsden is a proud alumnus of the University of South Carolina, where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in English and Theatre. During her leisure, Gadsden likes trying new restaurants and cuisines (calls herself a self-proclaimed foodie), watching her favorite movie – Wizard of Oz, and traveling.
