Winter started her career at KLST News in San Angelo, Texas, where she served as a weekend news anchor. She worked there for two years from 2014 to 2016. During that time, she found a passion for Tex-Mex food and reported on interesting events like flying in the Goodyear Blimp, border safety in the United States, and the Rattlesnake Round-up. Winter has also worked for WUFT-TV and WUFT-FM in Gainesville, Florida as a news reporter.
