Prior to moving to the Grand Strand, he went back to his hometown after two years of his on-air job. Henderson won various awards while returning to St. Louis. The awards include St. Louis Champion by Explore St. Louis and DELUX Magazine 30under30. He received two distinguished alumni awards from his North Technical High School and high school alma maters Riverview Gardens.

In 2018, he was nominated for two Mid-America Emmy Awards for a feature news story, and in 2019, he participated in the historical St. Louis Blues Stanley Cup Parade. He was seen across many national platforms counting FOX Sports, NHL Network, and ESPN during his coverage of the parade. Henderson is a brother of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated. In addition, lately, he released his debut memoir, The Come Up.

During his free time, he likes wineries, relaxing on the beach trying new restaurants, and trying outdoor adventures. In addition, he enjoys running every day, in September 2020 he completed his first half-marathon. He also loves traveling where he has explored Germany, the Netherlands, France, the United Kingdom, and the Czech Republic.
