Dina has worked for all four Salt Lake television stations. Her most memorable weather moments include staying on the air for more than 12 hours during the tornado outbreak in Southwest Missouri on May 4, 2003. The 7 feet of snow that fell in Northern Michigan over a four-day period was also a highlight.

Dina obtained the American Meteorological Society’s coveted AMS seal as well as the Certified Broadcast Meteorologist mark of approval in the early 2000s. Freedman finds time to forecast the weather and educate viewers about the Beehive state despite being a 7th-grade science teacher.

She grew up in the small state of New Hampshire, where large snowstorms sparked her interest in the weather. She enjoys skiing, hiking, hot yoga, and exploring the world when she is not filling in at Fox13.
