While she has served at WJHG, she has reported on a wide variety of stories such as; traveling to San Diego to follow a Panama City soldier injured in Iraq through his rehabilitation, she was on from the front lines of many tropical storms and hurricanes.
For instance, such as Hurricanes Ivan, and Opal which seriously damaged the area, and also reported from the cockpit of an F-16 with the Air Force Thunderbirds.b She mentors future journalists via the Advisory Board for the UF College of Journalism where she is a member. Prior to being a beneficiary of a number of Associated Press awards, and Hearst Broadcast News awards. Furthermore, while working at WJHG, she has served as a news anchor, reporter on almost every shift, and meteorologist for a number of years.
