He went on to anchor and broadcast the news in South Bend on WSBT-TV and later in Indianapolis on WISH-TV. He also anchored WLFI-morning TV’s news, the CBS affiliate in West Lafayette.

He was twice named by the Associated Press as “Indiana’s Best Reporter” was nominated for two Emmy awards, and was also awarded for his investigative work.
