Horcher is a co-anchor working for KIRO 7 News where he co-anchors in the evening newscast prior to him moving west in Oklahoma City at KWTV after a five-year stint. He has reported on many notable events during his 22 years of the street report that included the Oklahoma City metro F-5 tornado that ripped the city into halves.

It was during this time that Horcher became determined in human coverage and hope to find stories that one may find difficult to watch. The courageous stories of the Oklahomans who survived the 1995 Murrah bombing were one of his inspirational stories. “Strangely Named Towns” was one of Horcher’s segments which uncovered all the curious legends and myths that were all hidden on the map’s tiny dots, was an award-winning exploration that had become more popular.

Prior to Horcher joining  KWTV, he had previously reported at WBAY-TV in Green Bay for five years where he reported on a propane-train disaster that made the Army vacate for an entire month from its little cheese-making town and the two consecutive Super Bowls. Horcher began his career in Milwaukee at WISN-TV in his own hometown.

He later untailed Jeffrey Dahmer’s serial-killer story to the world in the year 1991  prior to his interning there. Horcher won several awards in the same year he had begun his internship. Three years after his report Horcher was accorded the honor to cover live from Dahmer’s crime scene being the first reporter.
