Harvey Leonard (born – Harvey Leonard Moskowitz) is an American retired Emmy Award-winning Meteorologist who recently worked at WCVB in Boston, Massachusetts as a chief meteorologist. He worked there from 2002 to May 2022. He has also worked for WHDH-TV, WNAC-TV, WNEV-TV, and WROR-FM.

Leonard was also added to the 2018 Massachusetts Broadcasters Hall of Fame, a recognition given to people for their exceptional contributions and remarkable accomplishments to the broadcasting field in Massachusetts. He received the esteemed Governor’s Award for Lifetime Achievement, during the 2016 Boston/New England Emmys. He was chosen as the “Best Weatherperson” of the year 2015 by Boston Magazine in the People’s Choice section, marking the 5th instance in his career that the magazine’s readers honored him with this distinction.

Leonard was once chosen as the “favorite forecaster” in the city by the Improper Bostonian. Additionally, Leonard has won 4 New England Emmys for his excellent work in television weather broadcasting. In the year 2003, NATAS Boston/NE recognized him with the Silver Circle Award for his outstanding contributions to broadcasting over more than 25 years. Leonard is also a Fellow of the American Meteorological Society and was honored with their distinguished Outstanding Service Award for Broadcast Meteorologists, recognizing and celebrating his achievements on a national scale.

Leonard retired from his role as the leader of StormTeam 5 in May 2022, after a meteorology career spanning 5 decades, including over 4 and a half decades predicting weather in New England and 20 years at WCVB.
