Previously, he served WHIO as a sports anchor and reporter. His broadcasting career started in Cincinnati at WVXU-FM where he served as a news and sports reporter.

In addition, he also worked at WGEM-TV an NBC affiliate in Quincy, Illinois where he served as producer, and news reporter. He credits his coverage of the 1989 National Football League’s Super Bowl between the San Francisco 49ers and the Cincinnati Bengals as one of his most memorable sporting events.

Some of his most memorable sporting events include; the Major League Baseball All-Star game in Cincinnati in 1988 and in 1985, Pete Rose’s record-breaking hit at Riverfront Stadium.
