He began his career in weather broadcast where he first struggled and was unsure if TV was the right field for him to be in. Later he was first interned at WECT in Wilmington, NC. where he was taught and inspired by the weather team there, which renewed his passion for broadcast meteorology.
Additionally, he was also interned later during the summer period interned at KARE in Minneapolis, MN. It was there that he was further inspired to continue his pursuit of broadcasting. Besides serving 18 hours of sunlight per day, his sleep patterns became messed up. After his graduation, he became a brand new meteorologist at NC State.
This was after he was made the president of the broadcast club. Scott is also an avid sports watcher of both college and professional sports. Some of his favorite teams include Philadelphia Eagles, the Miami Heat, Carolina Hurricanes, Boston Red Sox, and his beloved NC State Wolfpack. During his leisure time, he enjoys spending his free time with his family and friends.
