Koller’s first stint at KCTV was from August 2015 to May 2018, where he served as a writer, reporter, and sports multimedia producer. Before joining KCTV in the 2nd stint (just after the first one), he worked for KLKN-TV in Lincoln, Nebraska as a sports reporter and anchor for nearly 2 years (from May 2018 to February 2020).
Before his KCTV’s first stint, Koller worked as a sports reporter, anchor, and producer at KOMU-TV in Columbia, Missouri, from August 2014 to May 2018. Additionally, he served as a sports executive producer, anchor, and reporter at MUTV-23 in Columbia, Missouri, from August 2014 to June 2016. He also worked as a reporter, videographer, and writer at The Sports Journal-H4TV in Kansas City, Missouri, from March 2015 to November 2015. He has also worked for a television station in Lincoln, Nebraska, where he worked as a sports anchor, and provided extensive reports on the SEC, Tigers, Huskers, and Big Ten.
As a kid, Koller loved going to Royals and Chiefs games with his family and friends at Arrowhead and Kauffman Stadium. He even had his dad film him doing sports coverage at the K when he was young. Now, getting to cover sports in his hometown is like achieving his aspiration for him. He’s been to or covered lots of big games, like MU vs. KU rivalry games, Royals World Series games, Chiefs playoff games, and Jayhawk Final Fours. Besides journalism, Koller is also passionate about volunteering. For half a decade (January 2009 – January 2014), he served Youth With Vision as a Public Relations Chair.
