Flock joined FOX Business Network (FBN) in September 2007 as a Chicago-based reporter. Flock has covered some of the most historic hurricanes on the ground, most recently covering the eye and aftermath of category 4 Hurricane Laura’s impact on Louisiana, and previously covering Hurricanes Dorian, a category 5 storm, and Hurricanes Florence, Michael, and Harvey, all category 4 storms.
He has also covered significant industry events around the country, including the Detroit Auto Show, the Commodity Trading Pit, and the EAA AirVenture Oshkosh Airshow, during his time with FBN. Interviews with industry luminaries such as Ford CEO Mark Fields, Ford Executive Vice President Joe Hinrichs, and General Motors CEO Mary Barra, among others, have been in his coverage.
Flock was the Managing Editor and Anchor of Storm Now, LLC, a website dedicated to hurricane coverage in the United States, prior to joining FBN. Flock worked at CNN for 24 years, starting in 1980 when he assisted in the founding of the network and its first newscast. He spent the last 19 years of his CNN career as the Chicago Bureau Chief and correspondent, where he oversaw coverage of the Midwest and assisted in the reporting of some of the country’s most fascinating stories.
For his work here, he won a George Foster Peabody Award for the network’s coverage of the Gulf War, as well as an Emmy in 1996 for coverage of the Oklahoma City bombing. Flock is currently working at FBN where he works alongside other famous FBN anchors and reporters including;
