In Atlanta, Delgado has also served at CNN International Commercial for 5 years, and The Weather Channel in Atlanta for 3 years, as a meteorologist. Delgado has seen hurricanes, earthquakes, tornadoes, and tsunamis, all throughout her career.

Delgado is a cancer survivor. She took a break off from her job to undergo a lifesaving bone marrow transplant(stem cell transplant). Before the bone marrow transplant, she had undergone six rounds of chemotherapies. The transplant made her lose her hair. She got isolated for 3 weeks in the hospital, and after that, she went home but was still under isolation for a period of time. During this time of isolation, she was not allowed to eat any raw food and was always on a mask every time she went outside.
Delgado however won the awful and stressful battle and returned to her work as a meteorologist, to resume her career. This is an inspiration to the people suffering from cancer. Delgado is a great supporter of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, an organization that assists people with cancer with information on clinical trials, financial help, and many more.
