There he co-anchored the weekend morning newscasts for “EyeOpener”, NewsCenter 5’s top-rated. He also served as a sports reporter for the weekday editions. During his time there, he covered everything from the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting to the Patriots losing a Super Bowl to a record-setting winter to Superstorm Sandy. Also, he did coverage on Deflategate, The Red Sox won a World Series, and The Patriots won a Super Bowl.
Before going to WCVB, he was working for KDKA-TV, AM radio station in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, for 6 years. His positions there were fill-in anchor, as well as transportation, traffic, and general assignment reporter. He mostly appeared on the weekday morning news, weekend evening news, weekend morning news, and weekday evening news. There he covered various sports events; the 2011 Winter Classic between the Caps and Pens, two Super Bowl parades, the 2006 Major League Baseball All-Star Game, and one Stanley Cup parade.

Additionally, he worked for KDKA-AM, a CBS-owned and operated radio station as an occasional talk radio host.
Lokay has served at News 10 Now (YNN)/Time Warner Cable, in Syracuse, New York, as an Anchor, as well as Digital Journalist for 2 years. He has also worked for Metro Networks in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania as a News Anchor/Editor for 1 year.
Lokay has been passionate about news broadcasting since he was a kid. He was obsessed with being near a microphone and had a natural skill for talking to just about anyone. He used to make an excuse to make announcements at the bowling alley his dad ran for years over the loudspeaker. His fascination with broadcasting made him pursue a journalism career at college. During his stint at college, he used to cover high school football teams, where he would lug a camera around and shoot the games, and then turn around the highlights for a local cable channel. He also covered play-by-play for California University athletics. His passion for political news came during the 2000 elections.
