Jordan Evans is an American Meteorologist working for WTOP serving as a 7News First Alert Meteorologist. He has been working for the station since 3rd April 2023 after working for Sinclair Broadcast Group.

Evans attended Park Hill High School in 2012 and graduated in 2016 with a high school diploma. Later, he joined Arizona State University in 2016, and at Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication where he graduated with a bachelor of arts degree in journalism and mass communication. At the same time, Evans also joined The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at the same university where he attained a bachelor of science degree in Geography (Meteorology/Climatology) in 2020.

Evans joined CNN Atlanta, Georgia as a weather intern in 2009. While at CNN, he Built and produced graphics for international and domestic on-air use using WSI MAX and also created and edited 3D graphics using MAX Reality. He also learned to attain permission and clear video on social media for publishing and on-air use and he Forecasted internationally using foreign meteorological websites.
Later, Evans worked as a weather intern at KMBC 9 in 2018. While there, he learned how to produce and present a weather forecast for television. Evans also created and edited graphics using Baro Lynx and also assisted the weather team during severe weather coverage. Additionally, he learned to analyze forecast models and create a forecast for multiple cities in the DMA.
Evans started his career as a weather intern at ABC15 Arizona in 2018. At ABC15, he assisted the weather team and producers during breaking weather events and also shadowed live reporters during monsoon weather coverage. He also practiced and recorded weather segments on the chroma key, received real-time feedback from the meteorologists, and Wrote forecasts for the station website.

Evans works for WTOP serving as a 7News First Alert Meteorologist since the station since 3rd April 2023. Before joining WTOP, he worked for Sinclair Broadcast Group from 2021 where he still works as of 2024. At Sinclair Broadcast Group, Evans anchors weather for all weekend evenings and delivers first-response weather and climate reporting throughout the weekdays. He is also a fill-in weather anchor for the chief and morning weekday meteorologists. While here, he has innovated an expanded reality look with Baron Lynx and increased the station website with severe weather and weather news sections.
Before joining Sinclair Broadcast Group, he worked at KXXV,25 News as the morning meteorologist on a 2.5-hour show, cut-ins during Good Morning America and 11 am midday from 2020 to 2021. While there, he reported on the 2021 deep freeze in Texas, one of the lowest historic weather conditions. Evans also reported on severe weather conditions in Oklahoma which included flash flooding and tornadoes. Additionally, he introduced a new look to weather graphics since he is proficient in the WSI MAX and 2019 Scripps graphics package.
Prior to joining KXXV 25 News, he served as a weather anchor and reporter at Arizona PBS from 2018 to 2020. At Arizona PBS, Evans built and presented a weather forecast with WSI MAX for the newscast and social media. He also shot, wrote, and edited news packages on issues and interests surrounding climate change, water, and sustainability. In addition to this, he would perform Facebook live weather coverage in the event of upcoming or severe weather.
