On December 1, 2023, Sabine announced on her Instagram Page that after returning home, she experienced a serious accident—a significant fall while tending to her horses. Apparently, all of her hamstring muscles and tendons got torn from the bone, leading her to undergo surgery the next day. It’s been a week since the incident, and she expressed gratitude for the exceptional care provided by the people at #AdventHealthParker, including the emergency room and hospital staff during her admission. She also thanked the professionals at the University of Colorado Medicine Steadman Hawkins Denver Clinic, specifically acknowledging Dr. Martin Boublik and Dr. James Genuario. Sabine, who already considers herself a bit clumsy, mentioned that she’ll be using a leg brace and crutches for the next 6 to 8 weeks.
