On regular occasions, She serves as a representative for MSNBC at daily White House press briefings and reports live for various programs on the network.
In her career as a journalist, she has worked in Providence, Rhode Island from 2003 to 2005, at ABC affiliates WLNE-TV, and in Redding, California for KRCR-TV. She was a reporter and weekend anchor at NBC News at their Philadelphia-owned-and-operated station, WCAU when she joined the station in 2005. Later on, in 2010, she joined NBC News where she served as a correspondent based at the NBC News West Coast Headquarters in Burbank, California. Additionally, in 2011, she became an NBC White House correspondent.
On several occasions, she serves as a fill-in anchor on Today and NBC Nightly News. In addition, NBC made an announcement that she would regularly work alongside Peter Alexander in co-hosting Weekend Today. On January 11, 2020, she appeared for the first time as the co-anchor on Weekend Today. In September 2020, at the Washington Women in Journalism Awards, she was honored with the award for Outstanding Journalist in Broadcast Television.
