He joined Gray’s 13 ABC in September 2017 and departed in November 2021. Midura worked for WCAX-TV before going to Gray TV.
From the woods of his home state of Vermont, where he worked as WCAX’s Statehouse Bureau Chief, Kyle comes to ‘The Swamp.’ He covered the state’s unsuccessful bid for single-payer health care in his tenure there, the passage and subsequent gubernatorial veto of the legalization of marijuana, and every twist and turn in the presidential run of Sen. Bernie Sanders.
Kyle has written pieces for CQ Roll Call on Vermont politics, and Kyle was listed as one of the best political reporters in the state by The Washington Post’s “The Fix” blog. Kyle started his professional journalism career at KULR in Montana before joining WCAX. He spent two years covering politics, but also hiking in wildfires and paddling in flooded cities.
When coming to his education, Kyle graduated with a degree in broadcast journalism and a specialization in history and political science from the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University. He had the luxury of working for the Project of Medill Innocence.
