When she was a little kid, she did a lot of different things, but music was what she really liked the most. When Anthony was 15 years old, she began working on the radio at a station called WHTA-FM, HOT 97.5 in Georgia. She had a short internship there, and even when she was still in high school, she hosted a show called Future Flavas with Ludacris (an actor and rapper).
When she was 19, Anthony worked at a radio station called 92.3 The Beat in Los Angeles, CA. She cohosted a show called The B-Syde. In the year 2001, she left that station and went to MTV. There, she cohosted shows like Direct Effect and Total Request Live. When coming to her education, Anthony is a proud alumnus of Howard University, where she pursued communications. She however didn’t graduate from the university.

In the year 2003, Anthony left MTV. She helped make a movie about Mike Tyson called “Tyson”. This movie was shown at the Cannes Film Festival and got an award in France in the year 2009. Anthony also helped make a movie with a director named Brett Ratner.

La La Anthony Surgery / Injury
In the year 2021, Anthony talked about a heart surgery she had because of a health scare and ongoing problems. On June 1, 2021, she felt dizzy and went quickly to the hospital for a special procedure to fix a problem with her heartbeat. In the year 2019, while she was filming a show in Vancouver, doctors told her she had something called premature ventricular contractions, or PVCs.
Her son Kiyan noticed something was wrong and asked her to call an ambulance. At the hospital, she had a heart procedure called cardiac ablation. This was something she had delayed doing before. She had to stay in the hospital for 4 days.
Anthony had been having trouble with her heartbeat for a long time, even before doctors diagnosed her in Canada. She didn’t follow a doctor’s advice to go to the hospital there. Instead, she waited and got medical help when she got back to the United States after her work in Canada was done. Back in New York, doctors used a test called an electrocardiogram, or EKG, to check her heart’s electrical activity. The results were not normal. But after her heart procedure, her EKG results have been good.
