Moody serves at FOX 13 as a morning news co-anchor for Good Day Tampa Bay. She appears from 6 am to 10 am from Monday to Friday alongside Russell Rhodes. She began as a weekend morning co-anchor where she worked alongside Bill Murphy, her longtime FOX 13 favorite. Before joining FOX 13, she served at an ABC affiliate, WKRN-TV in Nashville, Tennessee as a weekend evening and morning news anchor. Moody began her career at SNN, the New York Times-owned station in Sarasota, Florida. Mentioning her education, Moody is a proud alumnus of Florida State University.
Since joining FOX 13, she has reported on a number of incredible stories. She has been taken on several wild rides by The brave men and women at MacDill Air Force Base. She was taken 12,000 feet up into the air by The Special Operations Command’s Parachute Team for a skydiving adventure (she calls it an unforgettable moment). Moody was the 1st female civilian to have skydived from a CV-22 Osprey. She has seen the beautiful Bay Area from a Blackhawk helicopter and ridden along with the KC-135 Air Refueling Squadron. Moody has also ridden with the United States Air Force Thunderbirds, pushing 7Gs.
She traveled to snowy Philadelphia to report on the run for the World Series, as well as the American League Championship Series. Moody enjoys watching the Tampa Bay Lightning play. The Good Day Grads segments are some of her favorite stories to share. During the segments, she tells stories of high school seniors about to graduate, where they discuss topics about peer pressure and adversity. They profile standout performers and Moody really like telling the stories of individuals who have worked hard to get their diplomas.
Her favorite segment at Good Day is “Kid Wit,” where she sits down with 3rd-graders. The segment is a sort of a play based on what Art Linkletter used to do. Moody is a volunteer in the community. She serves as a co-chair of the March for Babies.
