She began her journalism career in Bakersfield, California after she was accepted into the EW Scripps Cronkite Career program. She also explored the Central Valley where she served as a web producer and multimedia journalist.
After three years, she moved on to work for KTNV in Las Vegas where she served as a reporter and anchor. During her tenure at KTNV, she managed to enclose several stories including the terrible mass shooting at the Route 91 Harvest Festival, national elections in the battleground state, reported on multiple local, and reported on the city’s first-ever professional sports team, The Golden Knights.
In 2009, she joined Arizona State University where she attained her Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Broadcast Journalism in 2013. During her time in college, she was active in several societies and activities including TOMS Club and Cronkite Club. Prior to joining college, she went to Santiago High School in Corona where she attained her high school diploma. In addition to that, she is also an active member of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists.
