O’Connor serves at WBZ – CBS Boston in MA as a meteorologist. Before joining WBZ, she worked for WGME – CBS13 in Portland, Maine as a Weather Forecaster forecasting Maine’s storms. There, she forecasted the weather every weekday morning as Good Day Maine’s Morning Meteorologist.
She aired from Monday through Friday from 4:30 am to 9 am and at noon on CBS13. She began as a news reporter and multimedia journalist for the first 7 years, prior to joining the weather team. O’Connor is a 2-time Emmy Nominated Reporter/Meteorologist.
She has reported on several big stories in Maine as one of the first reporters on the scene when Somerset County Sheriff’s Corporal Eugene Cole was shot and killed and the manhunt that followed when five tornados came through the Lakes Region in the summer of 2017. O’Connor now brings her experience as a reporter and covering dozens of blizzards and storms to the green screen.
O’Connor is originally from Massachusetts and loves now calling Maine home. Before Portland, she worked as a General Assignment Reporter and fill-in anchor, and producer at WKTV in Utica, N.Y. At WKTV, O’Connor covered the fatal shooting spree that killed four and ended in a standoff in Herkimer, New York, the outbreak of Central New York’s bath salts epidemic, and the merging of two school districts.
Additionally, O’Connor has been credited for giving the first reports for Central New York live from Boston following the Marathon Bombings. When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with family and friends. O’Connor loves Maine and all it offers from the mountains to the beach but especially the beach.
