Before joining News 6, she served at Central Florida News 13 as a Morning News Anchor for about 4 and a half years. Over the years with Central Florida, she has reported on big stories that have impacted the community.
Before that, she was in Pensacola, Florida working for WEAR-TV as a news reporter and anchor for 4 years. There she reported on Hurricane Katrina in the year 2005 and Hurricane Ivan in the year 2004. Also, she embedded with the Navy’s elite Blue Angels in a flight, which she says was an exciting adventure until the pilot successfully caused her to blackout a number of times.
She began her career at the CBS affiliate, KLEW TV in Lewiston, Idaho, where she worked as a Weathercaster for 3 years. While attending college, Bell got her very 1st break in the news industry during a chance meeting, where she was giving a speech about the Boys and Girls Club. Afterward, the News Director of KLEW-TV approached her.
Over the course of her career, she has reported on a number of life-changing events, including the Pulse Nightclub shooting, hurricanes, the end of the space shuttle era, and the Casey Anthony trial, just to name a few.
During her leisure, she likes exploring new places and the beautiful lakes of Central Florida or chilling at the beach (especially New Smyrna Beach). Also, she likes to try new restaurants – her favorite so far: Santiago’s Bodega, Hillstone, Cafe Tu Tu Tango, Grills, Hollerbach’s Willow Tree Café, Thai Cuisine Restaurant, and Chez Vincent in Winter Park. Her favorite food is Panang Curry, Artichokes, and Avocado.

In the year 2018, Bell together with her husband and kids visited Leu Gardens and her sons fell in love with the vegetable garden. As a family, they decided to plant their own garden afterward. In the following day, her sons found a little gnome in their garden placed there overnight by Ginger Gadsden (News 6 anchor) and named it. Soon after, they began writing short stories about Norman the Gnome. It was since then that Bell published 2 children’s books:

- “Norman the Watchful Gnome”
Bell is always on hope that her books will bring inspiration to both children and parents to learn all the benefits of gardening. From helping the planet to boosting mental, physical, and nutritional health. Embedded in her stories are also messages of friendship, inclusiveness, love, and diversity.
