Lynnette’s interest in the weather began at a young age. During severe weather, she recalls sitting on the kitchen floor in front of a map of the Chicago suburbs and contacting her father at work to give him updates on the impending storm. The marks are still visible on the map today, and the urge to beat the weather is still strong.
She is a member of the National Weather Association, and she has presented award-winning research at the organization’s national meetings. Lynnette appreciates more than just the weather. Her favorite activities include music, theater, reading, cooking, and DIY projects. She enjoys singing at church and plays the clarinet, piano, guitar, and ukulele, among other instruments. She also enjoys going on vacations. Lynnette is looking forward to exploring the area around Lake Michigan and being a true Hoosier for the first time!
