She can also be seen broadcasting weather whenever severe weather breaks. She became a member of the American Meteorological Society and the National Weather Association, as an undergraduate. On April 27, 2011, she has a chance to experience a devastating tornado outbreak, which made her desire to learn more about atmospheric science. She considers herself a true “science nerd.”
While in college, she worked as a meteorologist at WCBI, the CBS affiliate, in Columbus, Mississippi, and on April 28, 2014, she helped out in covering the tornado outbreak across Mississippi. Later in 2014, she joined the ABC affiliate in Birmingham after leaving Mississippi. For six years, she worked at ABC 33/40 in Central Alabama as the weekend and morning meteorologist, covering everything from tornadoes to ice storms. She taught the Fundamentals of Electronic News as an Adjunct Professor teaching at the University of Alabama.
Not only is she a meteorologist who can convey weather, but also a meteorologist that really knows the science behind it. She has earned herself the prestigious Certified Broadcast Meteorologist Seal of Approval. She looks forward to meeting folks throughout Middle Tennessee and Southern Kentucky through events, school visits, and church. In addition to meteorology, her desires involve loving on her Pomeranian, cheering for the Crimson Tide, Daisy Diana, Daisy Diana, and returning to Tennessee to cheer the Tennessee Vols!
