With nearly 15 years of experience on local airwaves, Mike started his career at KTTS radio in Springfield, where he served as a news anchor, reporter, storm chaser, and host of a weekly current affairs talk show. He then moved to KQTV in St. Joseph, MO, as an evening anchor and reporter before returning to Springfield in 2010. Over the next eight years, he worked as a reporter and fill-in anchor for another TV station in the market.
In April 2021, Mike joined the KOLR10/FOX 49 family as a reporter/weekend anchor, later transitioning to the weeknight FOX 49 anchor desk in March 2022. Throughout his career, Mike has received recognition for his work, including winning a regional Edward D. Murrow Award and receiving three nominations for regional Emmy awards. He has also been honored multiple times by the Missouri Broadcasters Association and Kansas City Press Club.
In addition to covering current events, Mike has a passion for historical happenings and topics. He authored “Show Me Katy,” a book about the old railroad line that became the Katy Trail across central Missouri.
